Finding Hotel Deals
We are big fans of sticking with one booking provider and levelling up in their reward system. It really helps you save on longer stays. Both Expedia and booking.com are great for this!
Flight Bookings
We recommend in most cases to book directly with the airline but we use Kayak to price shop (almost always the cheapest) and Expedia when the airline offers inflexible terms. Expedia usually gives you some great flight protection. If saving $ on flights is your main goal you are going to love Kayak.
Booking Tours
We like using Get Your Guide when we travel as they have a great review system and it helps keep tour operators accountable. This platform is excellent for booking day trips!
Car Rentals
You can probably tell we have a favourite by now. We use Expedia for car rentals and our credit card insurance for the driving protections. They do have some great full coverage packages sometimes so make sure you compare!
Travel Insurance
In this day and age you would be crazy to travel without insurance. We have been using Safety Wing with no issues for years! They are great because you can buy the insurance out of country. We usually travel on our credit card insurance until it expires (usually two weeks) and then buy a safety wing package for the remaining time. They have some good active coverages and decent exclusions if you are an adventure traveler.
E Sims
Trying to find sim cards and worrying about data is not the way to spend your trips. We almost always use an ESim now. Saily has partnered with us to give our readers 5% off with the code SEA2PEAK5
